Autumn Leaves was the first jazz standard I ever learned, and I’ve constantly come back to it throughout my musical journey. My improvisation on this piece is meant to reflect the lyrics of Autumn Leaves, as well as capture the natural wonders of the Fall season.

Artist Statement
A little song for voice, cello, cello/bass, ukulele, and piano, I wrote this as my very first love song, and it holds a special place in my heart. Funnily enough, the chords, vocal tune, and words were composed in under an hour during a fit of inspiration.

This is a piece with many parts that I wrote while practicing composition for the KOMAL Project. It was my first real attempt to write for wind instruments and I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out.
