Meet the team!

Angie Liu
Editor
Picture
Angie is an editor for IMPACT and premature cat lady. She is a bubble tea connoisseur and believes baroque oboe is a hardcore from of heavy metal music. One can usually find her wondering what life would be like as a pebble on a warm windowsill. Her favorite flavor of ice cream is old fashioned vanilla.

Natalie Guo
Editor
Picture
Natalie Guo is one of the editors for the IMPACT magazine. In her free time, she enjoys to write, adventure into new music genres, and go into random deep dives on topics that interest her. If you can't find Natalie on her computer, she can also be found playing tennis too!
Ada (Addie) Tussing
Editor
Picture
Addie Tussing is one of your IMPACT editors! 99% of her time is taken up by Pioneer Theater Guild related activities, and she also writes for The Pioneer Optimist. She loves to listen to music, watch romantic comedies, and make long to-do lists. Her worst fear is snapping turtles.
Selene Freudenberg
Editor
Picture
Selene is an editor for IMPACT who loves listening to--and playing--music way too loud. When not doing something music related, Selene can be found reading cheesy rom coms, going down Taylor Swift theory rabbit holes, and pampering one very mischievous cat.
Margaret Loszewski
Editor
Picture
Margaret Loszewski is one of your editors for IMPACT. There aren't enough hours in the day for Margaret to pursue every one of her interests--but some of the things she loves include watercolor painting, spending time with her friends, and taking long walks to photograph neighborhood bunnies. This year, she's trying to sample every breakfast restaurant in Ann Arbor.

Billie Hoffmann - Lead Visual Arts Editor & Fundraising Chair

Clare is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of IMPACT magazine who has developed a myriad of musical tastes upon her recent rummage through Spotify. Outside of IMPACT, she enjoys discussing ethical topics and writing for the school newspaper, The Optimist, as editor-in-chief.

Billie Hoffmann, one of your IMPACT editors, spends her time reading, writing, and creating lots and lots of art! She would love to visit Thailand and learn more about their indigenous art-making practices. Fun fact about her: she is currently practicing to become a tattoo artist. Lately she’s been listening to a lot of 1960s-70s jazz and early-mid 2000s rap.

Hillary Poudeu Tchokothe - Lead Literary Arts Editor
Hillary would love to travel to Cameroon, because that’s where her parents are from and to partake in their culture more. A fun fact about her is that she's really clumsy: she injured her knee pretty badly after falling down a hill. She prefers salted caramel gelato over any kind of ice cream, and her favorite song is Face by BROCKHAMPTON!

Shailen Chugh - Editor
Quentin was one of the editors for your literary arts magazine. Here are some quick things about him! He loves food. He loves cooking food, eating food, and trying food. That being said, buying him green tea mochi is a quick way to win him over. On top of being a huge foodie, he is also an avid music nerd with too many songs and genres to list, so really anything goes! It’s a dream of his to be able to travel and perform all around the world in the future, and really, he doesn’t have a preference when it comes to traveling.
Shailen was one of the editors of IMPACT Literary Arts Magazine. He has always valued writing as a form of expression and enjoys creating art on his own time. Along with the arts, he is very passionate when it comes to education: coaching middle school Science Olympiad and tutoring in the Pioneer Writing Center. He often spends his free time making music, playing classical piano, singing in choir, and arranging songs for his a cappella group.
